Israeli Music Transports a JCCNNJ Audience

On a recent cold winter’s night, our JCCNNJ audience was transported to the warm and sunny land of Israel through the music of the Israeli Artists Project. Seven young adult Israelis living in NYC came together for the premiere showcase of the IAP Troupe to sing in Hebrew and English. The audience raved: “it was fabulous”, “it was terrific”, “this was so special”.

The sold out crowd began the evening with a dessert reception and chance to socialize, an element of all JCCNNJ arts & culture events to ensure a sense of community and warmth. Len Levy, President of Temple Beth Sholom of Pascack Valley, the location of the event, and Erica Danziger, Supervisor of Arts & Culture for the JCCNNJ, gave introductory comments to welcome the audience. Geri Cantor, a member of the JCCNNJ’s Planning Committee, said, “This was a really nice night. It was great to see so many people come out to support arts & culture.”

Publicity partners for the event included Brightview Assisted Living, Zahal Shalom and Temple Beth Sholom of Pascack Valley. The event was sponsored, in part, by Susan and Julius Eisen.
