Hanukkah 2020 with JCC of Northern NJ

|

November, 2020 — Hanukkah is coming and here at JCC of Northern NJ, we’re well on our way to celebrate in new and innovative ways for this special year.

Hanukkah Card Making for Seniors

Over the past two weeks, young families have been gathering at local parks in Glen Rock & Hillsdale to make Hanukkah cards for isolated seniors, spreading a little cheer and youthful energy during a time of isolation and loneliness.

Nightly Community Candle Lighting

Coming up, the community at large is invited to attend a nightly candle lighting Zoom. Partnering with the JCC of Central Jersey, Jewish Federation of the Heart of NJ and All Ages Fair Lawn allows us to light our candles together, creating a moment of connection within our community. Click here to register: www.jccnnj.org/candles.

Special nights:
  • Thursday, December 10 (the first night): Join us after candle lighting for an all-ages virtual magic show (register separately at www.jccnnj.org/magic)
  • Monday, December 14: Join special musical guest, Mark Levy as he leads our candle lighting prayers and songs from the Old World and the New, sung in Yiddish, Ladino, Hebrew, English, and Russian.
