Fiction Writing Class with Martha Moody

Writing Class
Five-Week Series
Wednesdays, October 21 – November 18
1:00 – 2:30 PM ET

Ever wanted to create a character out of nothing but words?  Invent a world? Promote a product? Present a fresh take on a common problem or experience?  Is there a story you were meant to tell? Do you want to tell your own story?

This 5-week class will give you time, support, suggestions, and exercises to help you unleash your inner author.

Each week will focus on one aspect of writing fiction–using your emotions, character development, dialogue, setting and point-of-view, and storytelling and plot.

Even if you don’t continue writing after this course, you will read short stories and novels with a new appreciation.

Instructor: Martha Moody is a novelist and retired physician.  Her first novel, Best Friends, was a Target Book-Marked selection and her second, The Office of Desire, was one of Kirkus Review’s Best Books of the Year. She has taught writing at Antioch Writers’ Workshop, Lakeside Ohio’s Rhein Center for the Arts, and local Dayton, Ohio schools.

This program has limited attendance capacity to ensure each participant receives individual attention.
