Healthy Cooking Class

Join us for this healthy cooking class with a Certified Nutritionist from NJSNAP-Ed Nutrition Educator of the Community Food Bank of New Jersey. Together, we will make “Fruit & Cheese Kabobs” (ingredient list below). The NJ SNAP-Ed Program aims to provide evidence-based nutrition education throughout the state of New Jersey.
Date and Time: Tuesday, March 1 at 11 AM
Join us beforehand at 10 AM for Chair Yoga and stay after the cooking program for lunch at noon. Make a morning of it!
Programming location: Temple Beth Sholom, 40-25 Fair Lawn Avenue, Fair Lawn.

Cost: There is no cost to attend this program. Small donations to cover the cost of the cooking supplies are appreciated and can be collected at the event registration table on location.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup vanilla yogurt
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 Tbsp honey
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, halved
- 1-1 1/2 cups green grapes
- 8 oz. cubed cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese, or a combo
COVID protocols: At this time, proof of vaccination or negative COVID test taken within 48 hours of the program is required. Lunch offers socially distanced seating opportunities.
