Minority of One: Student Edition

In this new documentary, Minority of One, Hussein Aboubakr shares his incredible story that chronicles his childhood in Cairo, Egypt, raised to villainize Jews, his revelation in high school that these beliefs were steeped in lies, being persecuted and jailed for studying Israel and Hebrew at Cairo University, becoming an organizer in Tahrir Square during the Egyptian Revolution and finally, his ultimate asylum to the United States working as an Assistant Professor of Hebrew Studies.
Students will gather on Zoom to watch the documentary film together. Their event will be facilitated by Ahron Levin, High School Coordinator from StandWithUs Southeast. After viewing the film, the students will have a Q&A session with Hussein Aboubakr.
