Supervisor, Open Hearts Open Homes
Elana Prezant has always had a special relationship with Israel. As a young woman, she spent years living in the country mastering the language and absorbing its rich culture. It’s her unique, first-hand experience that brings so much warmth and intimacy to Open Hearts Open Homes.
As Supervisor of Open Hearts Open Homes, Elana works passionately to relieve the stress and trauma of Israeli teens affected by terrorism. She works year-round on this unique program that brings Israeli youth to NJ for a stress-free, fun-filled escape. Since coming on board in 2016, Elana has extended her enthusiasm to every kid and counselor who has participated in OHOH.
When Elana isn’t with her OHOH kids, she can be found at a Latin dancing class, baking Mandel bread, or flying to visit with her own children, who currently live in Tel Aviv.
