One Day University’s Rosa Parks: Her True Story and Legacy

In honor of Black History Month, this viewing of One Day University’s Rosa Parks: Her True Story and Legacy features Dr. Brenna Wynn Greer, Associate Professor at Wellesley College. Dr. Greer explores how Parks’ media representation encouraged an iconic image that, while celebratory and inspiring, is at odds with her long record fighting Jim Crow and its many abuses, informing current day notions about black protest.
