Parent Connectors / “J on the Go Getters”

Do you love to build a sense of community among friends and neighbors?
Do you seek connection with other Jewish families?
Join our team to be a part of a grassroots effort to create a networked and engaged Jewish community among families with children ages newborn to three-years old.
Responsibilities include:
- Stimulate and support the growth of parent-inspired, neighborhood-based programming by sparking connections with local families.
- Listen to the needs of families and create low-barrier Jewish experiences that align with the JCC mission as well as PJ Library engagement framework and principles.
- Facilitate connections through a variety of channels, including: one-on-one coffee meetups, small-scale family/neighborhood gatherings, and more.
- Be ambassadors of the JCC of Northern NJ’s “J on the Go” and PJ Library engagement initiative among targeted families.
“J on the Go” Getters will be mentored and supported by “J on the Go” staff and receive training and onboarding from PJ Library staff. There will be opportunities to connect and learn from other “parent connectors” around the country.

FAMILY ENGAGEMENT PROGRAM MANAGER

Join our team to lead a grassroots effort to create a networked and engaged Jewish community among families with children ages newborn to three-years old.
Responsibilities include:
- Create a welcoming and warm atmosphere for families raising young Jewish children to make meaningful connections with and through the JCC.
- Use Jewish communal opportunities centered around Shabbat, Jewish holidays, and other age-appropriate music, arts, and sports programming, to lead in the planning and design of monthly events and weekly programs for the J on the Go community.
- Ideate and execute unique, interactive, and engaging programs and events highlighting and celebrating our Jewish heritage, culture, holidays and values.
- Supervise part-time “J on the Go Getters” (parent connectors), who will work as ambassadors and focus on grassroots outreach to target families.
