Where the J goes, families gather!
J on the Go is JCC of Northern NJ’s outreach initiative to engage families raising young Jewish children from prenatal to 3-years-old. It is a mobile set of experiences that reach families in communal spaces. The pop-up style of programming in public places such as parks, playgrounds, supermarkets, libraries and more, aims to bring Jewish moments to secular spaces creating Jewish community in every neighborhood across northern New Jersey.
Bring your little one along for some bonding time with music and more as we celebrate Shabbat together. Sessions are rain or shine. Registered participants will receive indoor location info, if needed. Price per session is for the whole family – grandparents welcome! Register for as many sessions as you’d like. Walk-in’s welcome but advanced registration appreciated. Best for children up to 4 years old and their grownup. Free tickets available for those in need with no questions asked.
Our Mini Mensch group is perfect for parents of babies up to age one year old to get out, socialize (and kvetch!) among others during this tender first year of life. This social connection group is free to join and hosted at various families’ homes around our area. With a dedicated WhatsApp group, Mini Mensch parents chat about all sorts of topics and can invite anyone out for a walk or a play date anytime.
For dates and locations, email minimensch@jccnnj.org.
Our new Sababa Sprouts group is designed for our Mini Mensch graduates, those who are 1 and 2 years old (or there about!). Come together with your favorite adult for a special class with a different Jewish theme each month. Between sessions, participate in a special WhatsApp group and meetup for informal playdates, coffee dates and more!
